There is something undeniably special about tying the knot in the church where your roots run deep, where you grew up attending services and forging life long connections. In today’s post, we dive in to the heartfelt experience of Elizabeth and Levi’s elegant Tennessee church wedding, held at the couple’s hometown church, Springfield United Methodist Church on April 29th, 2023.

“A breath of fresh air”, is how I choose to describe Elizabeth and Levi’s elegant Tennessee Church wedding. In a time where couples want to focus so heavily on expensive wedding favors, and extravagant decorations, it was refreshing to photograph a wedding that focused solely on the love these two share.

While the church itself holds its own timeless beauty and sacredness, it also offers a canvas for personalization. Levi and Elizabeth opted to honor the beauty of the church with minimal decorations. With their day focused majorly on their faith and family, a beautiful arrangement of red cardinals was placed at the entrance to the ceremony hall, honoring passed loved ones that could not be there to celebrate their unity to one another.

Do not let the simplicity of their wedding fool you. Springfield United Methodist Church was standing room only at the time of their unity. Not a seat was left, even the mezzanine area had occupants eagerly waiting for the couple to say their “I Dos”.

Elizabeth and Levi took their couples portraits at a beautiful southern residence that adjoined the property of Springfield UMC. The property boasted an elegant plantation home with stunning walkways lined with greenery, which ended at an all white setting. A southern plantation home provides an idyllic setting for capturing the beauty, elegance, and love of Elizabeth and Levi on their wedding day. With it’s rich history, architectural splendor, and natural surroundings, this home offered the perfect backdrop for creating their breathtaking couples portraits.

To end their joyous day celebrating their commitment to one another, the couple exited their reception to an antique getaway car, owned by one of the bride’s family members.

I have yet to attend or participate in a wedding, where the young couple has been so eager to just be married. I was so honored to have been chosen to document such a faith filled and loving unity of love between two people.
